It's basically a ball, and it's drilled/threaded. So the actual shifter goes into the **** itself so the ball sits lower on the shifter. It's pretty much like getting a short shifter, but instead of going through that hassle, you just swap the ****. Our shifters are already pretty short. Getting a countersunk **** lowers it a good 2 inches.

Skunk2....Feels a bit better.

I'd rather go with a counter sunk though.

I've tried Honda aluminum, Sparco Globe X, Voodoo spun aluminum, Mugen F1, Skunk2 & Honda CR. The heavy ***** like Skunk2 were too numb feeling for me. I find the lighter Mugen or CR ***** give me better shifter feel.

I am the total opposite! The mammoth weight of the M1 Abrams makes for a precise and smooth feel IMO.
