S2000 type S?
is there such a thing? my friend sayd he saw 2 different S2000's w/ an "S" where the [H] emblems were supposed to go (front & rear)... is this some kind of option or did they just stick the "S" from "S2000" on there?
Actually they are S badges. You can get them from one of the sponsors on http://www.s2000online.com. You can use these in lieu of the H badges..No big deal...

There is another S2000, its Japan only though. I thought it was the Type-S but its possibly the Type-V, however there is definatly another edition of the S2000, i'll look into it...
Type V. I think it has a different steering rack or something that makes it easier to turn, but not as much fun or fast.
Not as much fun? I guess that's a personal thing.
Not as fast? It has no impact on the acceleration or speed of the car.

Heard that it was not as much fun. From where? This is a subjective statement. Many of us would rather have a smaller lock to lock ratio and look at this as a good thing.
A tick slower -- why in the hell would the lock to lock ratio of the steering wheel have any impact on the cars "speed.".

That is correct. In factory testing around Twin Ring Moteggi(sp?) the lap times were 3-4 seconds slower for the Type V. Independent tests were conducted by one of the Japanese magazines as well, but I completely forgot which of my bookmarks is the correct link.
