If somebody's managed to modify the original design so that it's quiet and water tight, then that's great.
But I cannot imagine it, having seen one of the originals up close. The fitment and quality on the original was really not that good.
Maybe they've improved.

Re: S2000 Spoon Hardtop
the 'thing' about the actual Spoon top compared to the Shine top, minus the faux window being an actual window, is that the second piece actually bolts down the 'hatch' as opposed to Spoon's setup which is like..some kind of ball and hinge deal? official spoon owners please chime in to correct me. anyways Shine claims this difference helps a lot with higher speeds unless you've done what Spoon does to their racecars and put a hood-pin assembly to bolt it down for those high speed races!

Re: S2000 Spoon Hardtop
^ hey i have an authentic spoon HT purchased from http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...il.php?ID=3690, and the fitment is perfect, although you have to play with the window moulding a little bit to get a good seal. As far as the rear part, it attaches to the main portion using a push-pin setup that locks into place, no hinge or ball joint. I opted to cut windows into the sides, and it makes a huge difference.

^does your window seal ever leak in water when washing? i read you mentioned how you have to play with the seal to get a good seal.
is it the same seal you can pick up at almost any autopart store?
looks good btw

it doesn't leak around the windows, but i would recommend a small bit of sealant around the windshield where it meets the HT, sometimes get a little water there, and also where main part meets the rear part. Only get a lil wet when washing the car.
thanks

Re: S2000 Spoon Hardtop
it doesn't leak from the front of the top where it meets the windshield (thank goodness) it just leaks from the driver and pass. windows. and slightly through the plexiglass, except for one window where i've been 'testing' silicone around the edges to see if it works - which it has.

Re: S2000 Spoon Hardtop
looks kinda ugly with the spoon top.
i prefer the oem lid myself. really you dont need a lid unless your doing some sort of track driving or wheel to wheel racing, other wise its just cosmetic. i would buy one if i were going to cage it
