Well, from the choices above, it looks like one of those "which does not belong?" grade-school questions. Two are econo-box FWD cars. The other is a two-seater, mid-engine, RWD convertible roadster. With the roadster, practicality issues might come up, if this will be your only vehicle (which I'm sure it will be). I'd definately go with the S, but I'd for sure get a second car. As far as the other two, I'd go with the RSX over the Si. I have never been a fan of the Civic Si's.

yeap, just change the oil regularly -- make sure the recalls have been fixed on the car -- spark plugs and seat belt mechanisms and you're all set.

I don't drive my in the winter so, I can't speak to that.. in the summer, I love the car, the rest of the year (like now) the car is just a huge expense, but pretty to look at....

S2000 is a sports car, and is typically driven as such...reliability before purchase just depends on how well the person before you maintained the car...most owners are good to their roadster, but ive seen some ragged S2000's, people that think because its a Honda it doesnt need to have oil changes regularly (such a mistake), and i think the biggest issue of all are the folks that get all excited because its rear wheel drive, they go out and just dump the clutch all the time and do smokey burn outs and doughnuts...you want to kill the car fast? Do that enough times...

Recalls are limited to a couple in the 2000-2001's...(i think thats all), and they are usually already fixed.

Above anything else though...remember this is a sports car, not a civic that is forgiving when you drive it stupid. This car will get you hurt or killed easily if you dont have the self control and technique to drive it properly...and it is not fun to wreck one (trust me, nearly made me cry)...but ya know, its a fantastic car with a unique and fun engine, to me the car is more of a weekend warrior...i dont think i could ever recommend it as a daily driver, but alot of people use it in that fashion, and are happy with it...so its just up to you.

great car im going turbo with my s2k soon. one thing i dont like comparied to my prelude is it doesnt hold the road as well after 100mph starts to get a little squirrly. because of the short wheel base. but i need aligntment i think that could be why. but once i was getting on her hard and shifted from 3rd -4th in a slight turn in the road the backend broke lose and i was swaying back and forth almost hit the concrete wall. but driven not crazy its a fun car just need to be carfull the backend seems to break loose WAY to easy and mines an 03. oh also make sure the car has gotten the bulletn done on first -second gear shift. the sincros grind in higher rpm shifts. happens to my car and im pissed.

Doesnt hold the road as well as a prelude? lol...come on now man...perhaps you cant drive it as hard as your prelude because you're not used to the car yet, but i assure you, it'll run circles around a prelude in any aspect of handling and speed cornering.

The rear end is squirrly...its a rear wheel drive car. Have you ever driven a Z06? lol...or a high torque rear wheel drive car? hahaha...you think this car is squirrely...try one of those, you'll end up dead. The S2000 is incredibly balanced...IF you can drive it.

Your car being squirrly above 100mph is your alignment or wheel balancing. Belive me I have topped out the car in 6th plenty of times and I have no issue of stability. The car feels amazing, even at higher speeds. I have taken my ITR to 142 once and it was no where near as smooth as my S2K. I was really amazed at how smooth it was the first time I got up there. It truly shows a well built chasis.

About your rear end coming out, I would think you would know better. You do not shift during a turn especially when driving hard. Your rear end will come out unless your shift is perfect. More than likely it wasn't so your car went off balance and bam your rear comes out. Now when it comes to corners, even if it was slight, you could shift when the car is straightening out. If it isn't passed the apex (regardless of the radius of the turn), your back end will more than likely come out. It won't if you're going slow I think you just need more time in the car or some hpde's. try not to take this offensively but I am tired of seeing these cars wrecked by noob drivers. I do not consider myself great. I am still a noob to the track world but my lap times have shown that I am able to hold my own. I am not calling you a noob either, just be careful so you don't get hurt

Hmmm. It does sound like a bad alignment or bearings. I was holding mine at

for about 2 minutes, bored on the way to SF so I drove at 200km/h and took some pics. No squirrels there, but the shift to 6th was hard with a camera in my hand. Yea its only ~129 mph, but it qualifies as "above 100"
