s2000 itb's
One thing that I have been wondering is that, without filters doesn't an ITB set-up shorten engine life?
I met a guy with a Cobra Daytona, and when he popped the hood the ITBs each had their own filter.
I plaid mega millions tonight, so maybe I could be in a position to buy soon

Just wanted to see if these ITB's will be something that I can technically keep on a street car and whatnot. I do hit tracks occasionally but the main reason I got the S is for fun cruises up/down the mountains with the top down in good weather

Just do the ITB setup. I had the TWM 50mm ITB setup on my JDM B18C Type R motor back in 2001. I used Electromotive TEC2 then TEC2. I switched over to Hondata and then to Chrome to see how the OEM ECU reprogramers would work. They all worked out great and worked well on the street.

So you were able to continue registering the car fine and all that?
We don't have strict 'inspections' or anything here in Utah, but the tailpipe emissions do need to be below certain levels for that engine size - which is my only concern.
Also - you said Hondata and Crome on the regular ECU's will work? I always heard that with ITB's you'd need a standalone to get idle and off-idle air/fuel correct - something about OEM ecu's not being able to do some type of calculation

You got OBD2 they dont check the exhaust fumes out. Aslong as your not throwing a CEL for your cat ur fine. But you will throw the CEL for not having the secondary air injection system working. Cause I dont see how you can still have it hooked up with the ITB's. But if your goin with a stand alone ECU like the ems you wont throw the CEL for anything.
