S2000 engine swap
Sure, it'll fit. It will require modifications to the engine bay, the sacrifice of A/C, power steering, power brakes (unless you move some brake boosters elsewhere in the car like the passenger's footwell), moving of the firewall, and changing the front crossmember. You'll want to replace the S2000 gearbox with that of a Viper as well. Then it would be wise to beef-up the rear end. After that's done, the suspension/brakes must be modified to handle the added weight and increased power output.
Add all that to the ~$22,000 price of a crate motor from Chrysler and you're better of building your own chassis to begin with!

Correct and very well said.

Yes, they increased displacement to achieve 500hp.
No amount of hammering in the engine bay would provide sufficient room for a Dodge made V-10 in the S2000. You'd have to make an entirely new chassis for the car. The transmission tunnel and floorpans are integrated parts of the chassis and the design cannot accomodate a larger transmission. In addition, the crossmember in the engine compartment requires the engine to fit behind the front wheels.
It would cost less to buy a Viper, than it would to put a Viper engine into a S2000..

God that would be an insane setup. Think of the Viper torque in the little S2000...
Now imagine the Hennesey Venom 800 TT Viper motor pumping out 833 Hp at the wheels in an S2000?
Fun to dream ain't it?
