Default s2000 ECU Modification

Hi,

I wanted to see what everyones experience has been with replacing / piggybacking on the s2000 ECU. The S2K is drive by wire and the ECU is single system vs multiple, so some things will work well and most have limited functionality.

My personal goal is to get something that will control vtech points primarily, fuel/air, etc. in its semistock form (suspension, headers, intake, exhaust, methanol injection, timing, etc.) and ultimately will work well with my Comptech Supercharger once installed (I am trying to resolve a tranny issue under a tsb and need to make sure this is fixed prior).

I was considering a Hondata reflash or s series, but Hondata indicated that I would not see the best results with addition of the Comptech. Then I ordered an APEXI NEO, but I just spoke with their team and they indicated that it won't alter vtech points in its current format, but only control air/fuel ratios. Is this true? My concern is that it isnt direct control of air/fuel as is (drive by wire) and the vtech points were a big interest. Is there a harness or modification that will cure this issue? What is the best system that will manage the most / most effectively A.) Under 500.00 dollars, B.) Under $1000.00, C.) Under $2000.00?

What is your experience with your system and what did you get for what you spent?

(Please do NOT respond to this thread with rude comments or bash others comments -- thank you in advance for your maturity/professionalism)

Best,

JB

You seem to know quite a bit about the s2000 engine but not know how to spell VTEC

You don't have any informative threads on this issue they are all specific to a certain EMS or piggy back system and they dont provide whole lot of info, I suppose I will have to install AEM EMS to get the job done right. Actually s2ki has more information on this topic, but still has not answered all of my questions.

I've looked through the other posts and I've noticed YOUR demeanor. You should do the site a favor and QUIT posting! I figured that YOU would respond and THIS would be the QUALITY which was why I put put the note about downing others posts -- on my first post! Its sad that a new member has to do this!

On a personal note, you rarely post anything other than to down others, you probably make 1/5th my annual income, know less about any given topic pertaining to the s2k or any other vehicle, have very little racing experience, and have an UGLY *** girlfriend/wife.... problably with as many miles as your pos s2k.

This forum sucks! I wont be back so any further response is essentially to yourself (playing with yourself, which I am sure you are good at) and others. You have a shitty attitude exceeding that of the Porsche drivers, which is why I didnt join that crowd -- ***! GET A LIFE!

on a personal note, since you want to go there:

i doubt you make more than me, but it's is trivial to play big bank, little bank. 2 bachelor degrees, a master's, and a cpa is more than enough education to supoort my financial status. my wife is the exact opposite of the nonsense you posted, and my s2000 only has 30k miles. as far as knowledge goes, 10 yrs of honda experience + ase certification speaks enough.

nice to meet you! remember, there is no H at the end of vtec...that tip is free

way to try and jock on graf's sheit.
i think you successfully pwnt yourself out of this forum within your first five posts.
congrats.

you seem pretty open to paying over 1k.. why wouldn't you just get a full ems like aem's, its not a whole lot more.

at first you seemed like you knew what you were talking about and i would have given you a high five but when you buy an apexi neo and not just saving that money and putting it towards a full ems ill have to put a big stamp on your head that says FAIL.
