S2000 Aftermarket Wheel Horn Wiring
Hello everyone, i wanted to make a thread showing how to wire the s2000 horn with an aftermarket wheel. For this, im using an NRG hub, quick release and Nardi wheel. The setup and cost was very minimal and took about 15 minutes to do.
First, i went to my local Home Depot, or any hardware store in your area and picked up some wire. Can't remember which i got, but it was very inexpensive. The total was less than 30 cents.Second, was when i got back, i disconnected the battery. Not trying to get shocked or something. After i stripped the wire, then made sure it was long enough to reach behind the hub, as well as the connecter. Then i jammed one end into the connecter. This goes in the third hole in the photo from left to right, or where the orange wire leads. This part was difficult at first because it was very easy for it to fall out, but after a couple times, it was fine. The hardest part of all was finding a way for it to hold on place. i bent the wire so that it would put pressure upon itself by the screw for the plastic steering cover. Its hard to explain but im sure you will understand by looking at the photo. Then after i got some electrical tape to make sure it would stay. Finally, i put the cover back on, reconnected the battery, as well as made sure all the wiring was connected for the wheel, and it worked.
I hope some people find this helpful. i found numerous threads for other Hondas, but not the s2000.
