yes you can still get faded off keystone Light and cheaper but you cant compare the 2 beers..

yeah well fortunately i dont drink alcohol my friend. but when i did, i went for the cheapest, cause at the end of the day, all alcohol tastes vile. and at the party id rather be chilling with homies that were wasted having a good time, then the people who were wasted and yelling about how they drank the better quality beer. and in this case, you can compare.... because the functionality is very much still there. you can rag on rotas hard ive seen it, youve seen it, weve all seen it.... i believe they have proven themselves to be a quality enough wheel to do everything you could want (except for making someone bust a nut off your centercap ). especially on this website where there are 5 sets of rotas to every volk.

this is such a rediculous arguement. if you have the money, do it. id rather have true religions then kmart jeans and those are both just as functional... but if i couldnt afford it i wouldnt walk into the mall and buy a pair. its asonine.

You guys are going to be at it forever, so let me add 1 last thing.

Put whatever the hell you want on your car. If it fails, then blame the decision, not anything else. Don't come back with a sob story blaming Rota, Volks, or whatever that failed on you.

Agree x's 98705308676943280680.

See, I totally understand if a DA, DB, DC, EG, EJ, EH, EK, EM, EP or BB does it, but DEFINITELY, most CERTAINLY not on Honda's mose prized, elite flagship cars such as an AP1/2 and a NA1/2. Those cars are nothing but pure class and don't even thinking about ruining that class with anything cheap. My .02 cents.

HORRAAAYYYY girlie drink yummy!
I've noticed this trend with Rota Rockers that buy them to stunt. Mugen "style" lip, painted calipers, Spork CF duckbill spoiler, fake this fake that...notice a pattern? 95% of the buyers buy them so they can "look good", I think we can all agree on that one.

And of course Rotas are proven on the track its because they stole a proven design. I just don't think its fair that they make money off of another group's hard research. Its not even like they paid for the design, they just had dumb idiot shops ship them the originals.

Reason, because at the end of the spoke of a Rota wheel (SlipStreams), they have what you would call the infamous "rota bend" which is very very noticeable.

Both 15"

Notice how the Rega EVO is more sleeker while the Rota is short and stubbier.

I can also tell what is authentic or not buy the lip of the wheel beacuse a REAL Desmond lip is nice and flat as opposed to a knock off that has a slight stepped lip to it.

FYI - The black wheels that you wrote ROTA BEND on... they are real spoons... I have regamasters and they have the bend at the end of the spoke too this is not something that is only on rotas... also, the 15's real spoons have the stepped lip the 16's have a smooth lip so you cannot tell fake/reals from this unless you see a 16" spoon with stepped lip.... do more research kid. Also, the extra holes that you see on the black wheels above are not for lug nuts they are just plain drilled through holes for weight savings... you see them on only some spoons because there were variants (Ver 1 ... Ver 2) released through out the years. Yes, real spoons do break they are not undestructible but it does take considerably more force to brake them... I bought mine because I was going to race my car and need the strength and if I bend them oh f'ing well... i'll buy another set of real regamasters/spoons.

I could care less about rota this or rota that, but those wheels in particular with fake rivets are just wack. I think fake multipiece wheels are some of the most cheapest fake baller things you can put on a car. If you are going to get a rota, atleast pick out a model that isn't fake stunting.

WTF.

1) If you see what I posted after my original posting, I somewhat had a change of heart to see of its authencity and what not but later changed back to My OP.

2) If you compare the infamous 15" Slipstream to another 15" Desmond, you can see how much of a bend there is compared between the two. The 15" Desmond DOES indeed have a slight bend but it is not as harsh as the rota where it will tuck under towards the lip.

3) I've never seen or even heard of Desmond/Spoon Releasing 2 Variants of the SW388's in a "10 hole" and I even checked with one of my dealers through my Speed Shop to verify that. Check google. You won't even find shiet about it.

4) 10 hole SW388? Bullshit.

5) Kid? Please. Just because your older than someone automatically makes them a kid. LMAO

6) That SATIN Matte black "SW388" up there is a fake. The color is fuked up, the bend of the spoke is fukin harsh as ****, and theres 10 fukin holes in that wheel.

Another Example of a 15" Rota Bend Vs 15" Rega Bend:

5 Lug Rota:

If waddles like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, its a fukin duck.
