Reduce INTERIOR Ride Height?
I am 6'3" and love these cars. However, when I sit in one the tack is perfectly blocked by the steering wheel. Not to mention, I have a hard time seeing out the windshield. Small problems really.
Is there anyway to reduce interior ride height?
Has anyone bolted the seats directly to the floor?
Used a thinner race seat?
Suggestions!?

I am having the same problem, although I have figured out how to sit correctly so the steering wheel does not block the tach. I would like to know if aftermarket seat rails will bolt to the stock seat?

You should be able to make any bottom mount seat rail/slider bolt to your factory seats (w/o the factory sliders). This will usually require only drilling, worst case you would need to fab up some flat adapter plates. Sorry I don't know for sure if any rail setup would be direct bolt on. I do know that WEDGE engineering can make you whatever you need for a reasonable cost.

it says on their site for stock seats, so yes they will, i didnt know they had lower seat rails until this post and i am thinking of buying them but dont know if its worth $300.
s2ki has a thread on lowering your stock seat it involves removing the seat pan, drilling and a little hammering lowers the seat about 1.5 inches. i just did it and im not sure if i can tell the difference.

have you ever sat in an s2000?
I'm 5'11" and I cannot "lean" in any direction in the car.
and reclining the seats? Ha. Why even include the feature? lol.

I just put a Border bucket seat and buddy club super low down rails in. On the highest setting they set higher than my stock seat. On the 2nd lowest setting, they fit me perfectly. Im 6'1 170lbs. My legs arent hitting the center console anymore, i have room on either side of the seat now, and i at the perfect height!!
I am very pleased with the results. To bad larger 190lb + people cant fit into this same setup, unless you got some F1spec seats..
