Rear flares, can anyone help me out?
Hi everyone. I have a S2K that I am fitting 18x9.5 +20mm offset rims on. Not very easy. I need some solutions for rear fender flares. I will have to cut meal to fit these rims, but I am going to be using these.
This is a picture of the rims on the car with the strut removed to see what it will look like lowered. The problem I am havering is I am hitting the rear bumper, so I will have to trim that a little, but I also want fender flares on the rear.
My fender rolling skills are not that great so bare with me.
This picture is what my current ride height is with the lowering I have on the car currently.
You can see when it is lowered the roll & pull I did did its job.
The rear will have a brace created to bring the rear bumper out more to hide the tires more, about 1.2 inches.
What I would want is something like this:

I think your rear flare is too much at the top of the arc. It looks better if it flared out gradually.
As far as rear fender flares, the NFR has spoon flares and the other could be custom, since it's hard to tell when it's moulded to the body. Take a look at Shine's rear over fenders. If you do plan on using overfenders, you'll need to cut the quarterpanel.

I think the asm rear overfenders are your best bet if you are willing to cut up your fender. If you want an oem look then you will have to take it to a body shop and have them message out the fenders or even add to it. Then repaint the car/section

I don't know jack about body mods but I was looking through the Bulletproof site the other day and thought I'd throw this out there:

Re: Rear flares, can anyone help me out?
My main issue is not the flares anymore, but it is the rear bumper. My tire likes to hit it, I would like to find a solution so I could run the tires and rims I have. maybe a tire that is stretched more?
I have a 9.5 inch rim with a 245/35/18
'
I need to some how bring the rear bumper where it mounts out, and then have custom flare made to meet the body lines.

I also see the flare you went with is just one. I have found some kits that make a smaller section that also goes on the rear bumper too, good bad idea?
