Radio Code?
Hello all,
Does any one know if there is a sticker with the radio code in a 2001 S2000?
If so, where would it be? I looked everywhere but couldn't find it. I also tried pushing 1+6 while powering up the radio to get a serial number, but that didn't work either.
Went to a local stealership and they want $95 for it!
Before I decide to take the radio out, is there anything else I can do? Any other ways of getting the serial number or the code itself?
BTW, I did do a search but couldn't find an answer...
This whole radio code thing is very stupid.
Thanks

Oh, I forgot to mention that the car purchased from a local used car dealership and it didn't come with an owners manual.

Yes, See If you don't have it, then you have to go to Honda and see if they have your code in the system which I doubt. If they don't you have to get the serial number from the stereo by doing some simple steps , I forgot how though. Then take that serial # to honda and they will give you your code.
I went threw 2 WEEKS! Fighting with the Dealer cuse my radio code wouldn't work then finally after 22 codes later (Being serious) I got the right code.
1 Month after that I found the "secret compartment" and it was in there~~~!!!! Expletive me!
No one will tell you where it is......muahahaha

If you're talking about the compartment between the seats, I checked it. There was just a manual for the CD changer, but no owners manual. There is a CD changer serial number, but that's not it...

your dealership swallows!
if you give them proof of ownership, they do it for free and shouldn't charge.
P.s. you haven't found the SECRET compartment yet. Open up the "glove box" and theres a lever at the top. Open that and it opens another compartment where the windscreen sits on.

I pulled the radio out and got the serial. It was actually pretty simple.
It finally works now, but now I can't get the CD changer to work.
And yes, I knew about that compartment. See my previous comment.
It's not so secret if you ask me, I discovered it right away. hehe
