Quick suspension question.........................?
On my previous 00 s2k i had installed the tein s-tech springs, but they blew out my struts !!! iam just wondering what springs you guys are using who have springs and not full ssuspension combos.. and did u need to replace struts ?? i heard nothing but good stuff on the titanium rs-r's ?? input is appreciated
the stock shocks are created for stock springs.. so when you swap out the springs it puts more stress on your stock shocks therefor they go out/blow out quicker then usual......
if you swap out springs or get a sleeve coilover (ground control), you should look into buying aftermarket shocks/struts..... most people have been using koni yellows with their springs.....

I hate to bring this up again, but we don't have struts on the S2000, just shocks. Strut suspension is a different configuration.
That said, ground control makes kits, whereby the components are matched up so they work together. GC creates the adjustable perches and pairs them up with Eibach springs and typically Koni shocks that are matched with the springs. They do work and you can get custom rates and valving if needed. But if your car will never see a track, there's no need to.
But once you get a GC kit, or even a simple coilover kit, make sure you take it in for a corner balance and alignment, or it will be far worse than stock.
