Quick question
You can disconnect it, but if it were me I'd just avoid driving the child in the S2000 or figure out another way if possible at all. Might be time to reconsider a few things (the S2000 being one of those things).
If it's an infrequent thing, you can just disconnect the plug but it will leave an SRS light on which will NOT reset itself. But with the airbag disconnected, I don't see a way for it to be set off even in an impact.
