I have 1 Kicker 10" in the tool compartment of the trunk, doesn't really help too much with luggage space but it sounds really good

here's the setup im going to build for my friend, I'm a little audio junky

nice 6.5" components in the front
basic alpine headunit
nice 10" or 12" sub
and most importantly a 4 channel amp

1 channel for each front speaker
and I will bridge the 2 remaining channels for the sub

I'm surprised everybody is saying they can hear the sub from the truck, theres so much crap in between

There really isn't that much between. There is just two thin plastic panels and a bunch of open space. If you have a good sub it sounds great.

If you use a 10" sub you can have it in a small box where the spare tire would be. If you want it to sound better get a custom box for the tool pit so you can fit a good 12". I have a 12" in the tool pit and it sounds amazing. So much bass it shakes the rear view mirror, and thats an accomplishment on an S2000 because the windshield is one of the big braces of the car.
