A question about lowering
I have decided i wanted to lower my AP2, but when i was talking to a few s2k buddies they told me you can really mess up the ride/lowering if you dont know what you are doing ... I have changed the springs on both my integra's is it really that much different ? i was looking at a write up on how to lower a s2k and it look almost the same. I douno what i could really do to mess up the install?? Is there something i should know about lower a s2000? is it that much different then lowering any other honda??

driving a lowered S2K hard is a challenge. It's a really quirky car. Changing the rear geometry adds a ton of bump steer, so even if you're just driving normal, and you're going around a curve on the street, and you let off the gas, you'll notice a big pull to one side...almost like the car is pseudo oversteering. I mean you can drive the car faster lowered...it just takes a lot of know how and bawlls. Driving a stock S2K to the limit is much more predictable than a lowered one. It is unlike driving any other car i've driven (S13, Z33, miata, trans am, mustang) im only mentioning RWD cars...i've driven a handful of FWD cars hard as well.
Just took mine to the track on skunk2 lowering springs....and it was definitely more over-steer tackular. I took it to Road America last year like...a few days after i bought it and it was stock then. Takes some getting used to, but im sure i was lapping faster once i got totally used to the car's behavior. Infact, C4 and C5 vettes were EASY prey on the short, technical north Autobahn country club track in illinois, even though I was on S03s up front and semi performance (at best) V rated Pirrelli all seasons in the back. I'm ordering R comps next month for my stockers and i'll either run AZENIS or RE01R on my Advans.

i thought lowing it helped it handle alittle better. I also want to know if lowering a s2k is any different then any other honda. Can you mess anything up on the swap?

It's not anymore difficult installing lowering springs on an S2000 -- in fact, it was easier than on a... say 5th gen Prelude. I'm thinking of lowering mine as well, but I want to gain some experience with the car with it's stock suspension, first. The car handles very well as is. If I lower it it would be strictly for an aesthetic purpose.
