Here is an advice, if you launch make sure you tires break loose, that will prevent you from breaking the differential.

I own a 01 a high milaged one, still in great shape all around and still get compliments all the time.

I bought it from an interesting previous owner. he took care of it but not. He ran into that problem with the weak retainer and fixed it himself. compression 230 across the board.

What I mean he didn't take care of it, was little miniscule things like clay baring the car, because the paint looked so dull, headlights were hazed, dirty interior. But mechanically in uppermost great condition.

When I got it, clayed bar it a few good time the paint was in good condition. wet sanded the headlights, the car looked brand spanking new. I enjoyed the fact that these job was left up to me.

yeah drive the car and see what's it all about. And when you do own an "s" join S2ki. H-T have been whack for a while. I only use this site to broaden my purchase search nowadays and chime in time to time. goodluck

Hello everybody, I have just joined the crew. I am from the islands where there are 0 s2000's but i found one in Guam next to my island Saipan. It's a 2002 model with 140k miles on it. It is super clean the high mileage is the only downfall but the guy says its in excellent condition. What do you guys think on it? An s2000 is my dream car especially to have it where no one else does. Let me know what your opinions are. Thanks!! Heres the link btw.. LTS 2002 Honda S2000

This thread is old. But...S2000's are fairly indestructible. 140k miles is fine as long as it hasn't been over revved, and the owner has done *basic* maintenance.

They're very solid. They're Hondas. Mine has never given me any trouble. Mine has almost 80k miles....and 9 years of track use.

There are 200-300k mile S2000's out in the world, running beautifully.
