Default Power window problem

My driver door window is starting to have a problem. When i roll down the window all the way, half way through it starts to shake pretty hard. It seems like its catching something on its way down. Im not sure if any of you members had this problem and would know what it is. I wont be able to check the problem until i get home.

thanks for viewing!!

kind of weird problem. Hopefully your window relay isnt bad.

My advise; try taking the door panel off, and see what is obstructing the window from normal operation.

sounds like you have a window regulator going bad i am a tech at richmond bmw and we are always having to replace window regulators and if the design is anything like our on a cable and pulley set it sucks. Take the door panel off and check it out see if anything is in the way also you could try to spray some white litheum grease on the track its self just be carefull not to get it on your window its really hard to get off.

sometimes when the seals around the window dry out they can cause to window to shake going down and make some noise.

Its a pretty strange problem but i have heard of it before its a service bulletin 01-008

SYMPTOM

When the top is lowered or raised, or the driver tries to
use the AUTO down function for the power window, the
window goes down only 3 or 4 inches. The window
goes down all the way if you push and hold the power
window switch.

PROBABLE CAUSE

Contamination in the window motor causes a loss of
electrical ground.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the window regulator assembly.
PARTS INFORMATION

Left Window Regulator Assembly:
