Take off the eleven gold 10mm nuts that hold the rear edge of the rear end of the softtop down, remove the metal plates, and peel your softtop forward over the frame/roll hoops. This is done with the top up, of course.

put a towel in the "top cargo area" and it will save your plastic window.. i also put one in from the outside as the top folded to prevent the outside to rub against eachother.. its the dirt that is marking it all up

the plastic doesn;t look that bad at all, i regularity help s2k owner to polish the rear plastic, i seem worst.

the best juice i used was mother's clear plastic polish, it's a good combo with a portercable type of buffer.

too bad you are in ohio, or else i can cut those scratches for you.

you can try the regular foam(non-black) but i always use the polishing pad

medium speed, just couple of passes will clear it out good.

oh, if you are using a oversized handle, you might need to remove it to get it in the cabin. try lowering your top just a tad when doing this, this will give you the slightly more room.

So high five to you for looking hard enough. Nobody thinks he is above a simple question..you're just too damn awesome to do a little more work.

wow it didn't work for 1 person...congrats you have 1 opinion. its worked for many others...so has 303. and if you still don't have enough chemicals to make a bomb...try marine plastic cleaner</TD></TR></TABLE>

i mean im not trying to get into it with anyone but it is actually harder to post than search and since when is responding on a forum a priority? i think some people just tell people to search so it builds their posts and makes them feel better honestly i have not seen a thread on this lately...i saw a hardtop thread that later led into people talking about cleanin the back windows (i was one of them..i asked...im sorry) but if you think its a dumb question then just dont answer.

this isnt against you las2k, people do it all the time, im sure i have. maybe your just having a bad day or something.

This is the only picture I could find of mine before I tinted it 5%. Luckily it was a raw file so I zoomed in on the window for you. My windows in mint shape and I just polish it with Meguiars.
