Default Oil question!!

Since my car would be repair with a entire new short block, I was thinking if I can add amsoil synthetic oil??? I have been told that I since I would have a complete NEW short block I would need to do break in, That's why I'm asking if I can go amsoil synthetic since the beginning??

Thanks!

supposedly full synthetic oils are not recommended on new engines because they are too slippery and don't allow the rings to seat properly. I thought i had a link to a page with a discussion about this, but i can't find it.

If it worries you, break it in with regular oil.
