Default Nissan Diff Conversion

Hi guys,

here is the Nissan diff conversion that we have been working on for a while now.
I have tested it at all levels of extreme torcher. I will post a vid of when I ran the car down the quarter on wednesday.

Sorry about the size of the pics, but you can get a better look of everything fitted.

Cheers

Looks good. Post the specs and price of a complete conversion if you have them handy. Wondering if how good of a solution it is from just modifying your stock pumpkin.

As promised here is a link for a quartemile run with the Nissan Diff, the diff has 5.1 in it. I could only manage a 12.5 @117miles, 60ft was 2.1 way too much wheel spin, I am planing on going back in a few weeks with a diff ratio of 4.5

here are a couple links:

I'm sorry, I hate to do this..
but why would you taint your Honda with the gross **** of ****** nissan? would you trust that french owned company to make a diff for the highest HP/liter producing production piston engine on the market? I know I wouldn't.

If your looking to go faster in a line, look into a LSD, like quaife, and get a firmer clutch, or the larger ratio final drive, or a blower or turbo, ANYTHING but ****** nissan.
Check out a Quaife LSD, http://www.quaifeamerica.com/

Redline96LX - are your remarks due to brand-preference? build quality? it seems more of the former than the latter. the nissan diffs hold up quite well and this is the weak link on the drivetrain that needs upgrading in these cars.

if you want to suggest quaife, let me know of an application, at a streetable cost, that will work on this car.

Just for your information, I am from Australia, we have nissan cars that run 7 secs,
and also my car has a turbo in it, the honda diff is crap, axles are crap, and the gearbox is too weak. if you want power out of the honda engine, you must use products that don't break.

I don't care who makes them, as long as it works.

I will be drag racing my car again, only this time I will be with slick tires.

I will post a vid of my car running a 11 sec pass.

Cheers

That car still has a lot more potential Elaug
try to break some street radial record before you switch to slick mate.

I am aiming for low 11 with street radial and if everything goes right may be a high 10.

BTW why did your brake light comes on with 1st to 2nd shift with one of the run?

I don't understand why Honda did it, but he's right here. Syncros in the s2k are crap, axles broke from a stock motor. And from what I hear, the third member is even weaker.

So as much as I like trash talking Nissan quality, when it comes to the drivetrain, I just keep my mouth shut.

honda9krpm,

I don't know why the brake light came on, but I can assure you i didn't brake,

the tire i am using is a street radial, but it is more like a slick, where i don't require a front runner. I am sick of spining too much, once i get the traction sorted out, I will try anti lag, hopefully leave the line with about 15 psi.

So next wednesday I'll be racing again, and I'll get a better cameraman to video the car.

Cheers
