n00b S2K questions
I am considering the purchase of an S2000, and had a few basic questions. The search function was not working well for me.
-what is the optimum offset & width for the front & rear wheels? How wide of a tire is able to fit into the front and rear?
- does SMSP make a header for the S2000? If not, what is regarded as the best header?
- Is comtech the only maker of a supercharger for the S2000? Any comments from people who have experienced the setup?
- would the S2000 benifit from a 3" exhaust (either N/A or with the S/C)
thanks for your patience.

Re: n00b S2K questions (JDM LUDE)
1) varies per the size of wheel/tire combo. typically +55 or more which is a very rare fitment.
2) very doubtful. unfortunatly not familiar with SMSP. current headers are: DC Sports, Toda, Mugen, Spoon, and Comptech. they vary in price and where in the power band you will benefit the most.
3) no. Vortech also makes one, with an aftercooler and 8psi instead of 6psi with the Comptech. I can provide you with lots of answers to your questions regarding these two. I've been selling both for the S2000 for quite some time.
4) no. its about velocity. bigger is not always better. and that said, some combinations you will gain power and other combinations with various parts - you can easily lose power with this car. its that twitchy.

Yeah 55+ on an 8" rear maybe.
I know people who have gone as wide as 10", but we're talking mid-to-high 70s in the rear --> custom --> Fikse/HRE/Kinses --> $$$.

#1-- offset? i forgot what the exact numbers are
#2-- i've never heard of a header from SMSP, the best header for the S2K would either be Mugen or Spoon.... (both cost a pretty penny)
#3-- Comptech is the only S/C that I've heard of for the S2K
#4-- with a 3" exaust, that may be a little big, and you may lose alot of valuable back-pressure....IMO, with F/I, i'd suggest 2.5...

Vortech makes a supercharger as well.
The reason that 3" may be too big of an exhaust has nothing to do with backpressure. Exhaust velocity is not the same as backpressure.
If you don't know anything specific and helpful, why post and confuse the thread-starter???

Re: n00b S2K questions (Chris N)
I thought the Mugen and Spoon headers would be the best choices, until seeing the dyno chart of the new Toda header. A local S2000 owner gained almost 20hp to the wheels with the addition of the header. He has the Vortech kit though, so I don't know if those gains would apply to an NA S2000.

I think i would prefer the comptech one over the vortec.

Re: n00b S2K questions (ViZ)
In the latest issue of honda tuning they tested the votech super charger. They gave it GREAT reviews. It is set up to give lots of mir range power. Nothing but the super charger kit the s2000 can run low 13. thats bad ***, the only problem is it cost 5 grand, but I guess if you can afford a s2000 then its not that bad. My car is not even worth 5 grand, I just cruise the s2000 board and pretend.
