My point is just that for $1000 there are easier ways to make power. It's just an intake, there are other more important things to upgrade.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Very good point indeed but one cannot bash or say a mugen intake is a waste of money at 1200+. One cannot also say a mugen cf hardtop is a waste of money at a $5k+. There are many functions to mods, some have good craftsmanship, others are very functional, and some just don't do anything at all (tornado) and are referred to as snake oils. Basically, I think it's foolish to say that X intake is not worth it or dumb/lame/stupid or a rip off JUST b/c it costs $1000. In life, there are many things that are sometimes worth the cost...

Yeah I mean look at all the high-HP drag Integras, Civics, etc -- all are running some basic, cheap intake. They put their money where it counts.

Don't get me wrong though, the Mugen intake looks sick...definitely will get some compliments on that.

lol, what esle could the high-hp drag integras, civics, etc put their money? an $800 mugen valve cover? Point being, honda marketed the s2000 to an older crowd, ever wonder why when it first came out, mainly those aged 25+ bought them with the majority of owners over 30? When you get older, you tend to have more money and better taste, hence the flow of sometimes overpriced parts or very expensive high quality parts. One example for something overpriced is an exhuast system. I don't see how the s2000 exhuast system costs any more than a civic, the piping is shorter and less materials are used as well as bends. But, you wont see a spoon exhuast for a civic @ $800 like it does for the s2000.

If you want to start an arguement that integras and civics put their money to good use, you fail to realize that there are $5k suspension systems for the s2000 that actually turn faster lap times. I wont get into the body kits out there that you tend to see a lot on integras and civics, kombat style street fighter body kits. Who's putting their money to good use? (aruging now just for the sake of aruging...lol!)

Well said Ardy..
I agree with you. You are correct this is a true sports car and of course parts are going to be more expensive. Some of them are rare indeed and will cost an arm and a leg but you have to realize that this car is no civic or integra. I couldnt believe Dave spent close to $20,000 on his Mugen mods alone. Now I know why. I just bought the front bumper and it was $2300 shipped next day to Hawaii. I was like geeeezzzzzzzzzz. But I bought it anyway since King has sold maybe 6 US wide. I like to stay original.
But Vapor your crazy with your Stack cluster. Did you ever get pics with the dash back in???

no pics of the dash back in, I need to get a trim piece for it but I can seem to find anyone that sells it. You've probably seen the pics of a few cars in japan that had the trim piece with all the warning lights for it.
