intake manifold

speak of that..

what do you guys think would be a fair price for a custom intake manifold that works.

I am trying to talk Brad at RLZ into making up something but we need to figure a price range first.

and if anyone have a completly bare head laying around for cheap lmk. i think an RLZ cnc program would be bad ***.. just have to convince em to do it, lol.

CNC an intake manifold?

hop you plan on doing that in more than one piece and welding them together (like a sheet metal manifold)

or using some type of fastener setup, there is a reason why 1 piece manifolds are cast or overlaid CF in 2 or more pieces.

does anyone know what most people are clamping their MAP sensors at for boosted applications that are using the stock MAP? I see where some clamp at 2.9...some 4.4...some 5.0.

Just trying to figure out where these different numbers are coming from.

probably done in multiple pieces then welded together. IDK i dont make the stuff, i just convince other people that its a good idea to make....

so how much would you guys pay, and would a "kit" be an option, buy the pieces and you weld it together?

Clamp the stock map sensor at 2.8 volts

you can probably make a few and be competitive with them, but like everything else with cars power gain is what sells it

nah they've been getting a bad rep lately, after they started leaking on alot of people, and that pic with one where it split all the way down the weld.

that seems to be the general concensus. is that because at sea level (or close to it) the voltage on the MAP sensor will be 2.9v?

yep, the stock sensor reads 0psi at around 2.8-2.9 volts, the ecu will throw a cel if it sees map voltage higher than that

i can't recall where I was reading it at, but, I remember reading where there were some substantial horsepower gains made with a big bore throttle body on a super charged setup.

900 for a custom manifold is very reasonable. I'm pissed I sold my full-race for 1400 when some guy just PMed me a month ago and offered me 2k for it if I still had it.

well the skunk2 for an integra is around $300 and thats proven to make power correct??? so since we have s2000's and everything cost sooo much more, would double the cost be too much to ask for... Id pay for one around $500...
