I need help :(
I need help . This morning i woke up and started my s2000 which i bought yesterday. It started fine and i open up engine bay n rev the motor a little. After a few minute the motor seem to rev by itself at 3000 rpm and stayed there. I got scare n shut it off. Now when i crank it up, it wont start at all. It just keep cranking. crank very slow and after 2 or three time it dead this is not a good start with my new s2000. could it be the battery? all the light turn on etc.
What most likely has happened is you shut of the motor when it was warming up and running rich, thus flooding it. Then as you tried to start it again and again you have drawn the battery down low enough that the car will not catch and start.
Take your plugs out and let the thing sit for about 30 minutes, then put it back together, get some jumper cables and jump the car to start it and see if that doesn't work.
Don't rev the car needlessly not as cool as you think and not good for the motor to rev without a load.
And get a new battery as you most likely have killed the one you have or it was already weak to begin with.
