ur a ****** idiot.... im done with u go back to ur pos domestic....
btw meccj0084 not all duhmestics are pos' even though i hate mustangs and 90% of thier drivers
prob not like your car could even run w/ a v6 stang in a straight line or autocross...i think those altezza's and led squirters aren't putting down as much hp as the pepboys guy told you
v6 stangs r slow the gts r pretty quik and he called his ride a pos and i was just agreeing with him....i dont kno wat ur talkin about with the led squirters and altezzas cuz i dont lik rice.... and whoever does well thats ther prob
as for a Cobra or a GT with the "Cobra" works, they are not that fast.
1/4 mile times may be pretty good on them, especially with gears, but i haven't been impressed with the high speed driving and handling of a Mustang GT or Cobra. huge motor that does nothing but suck fuel and make loud noises.
just about 2 weeks ago my GF and i raced a 95 body style Cobra on the highway, it looked stock cept for some tint on the windows. that thing was slow though we weren't really any faster til higher speeds. but the CEL was on and the ignition was pulled back for N2O use which wasn't operational at the time we raced.
B18C1, moderately built: higher C/R, custom headwork, I/H/E but STOCK cams.
in a 5th Gen. Civic chassis. that's it, no F/I and we were on his a$$.
only when worked over quite a bit are Mustang GT's and Cobra's fast.
i've raced plenty of Mustangs to date. most were good drivers.
come on how hard is to drive a car in a straight line anyways??

Man, some people are just so set in their ways, there is no steering them otherwise. Why are some people so opposed to domestics? I drive a gsr now, and just sold a hybrid crx and I love both of them. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate a nice domestic. Really, give it a break. How do you know how a 03 cobra handles? I'm sure there are plenty mustangs out there that could out handle many people on this board. Not just because they are good drivers, but because their cars have been re-worked. A friend of my dads races a mustang in scca and tears up a lot of the competition.
All in all, just have an open mind people.

i don't hate on Domestics, though i speak the truth freely about comparisons.

the difference between a 95 cobra and a 03 is huge. a stock 03 with drag radials and a billy bad *** driver will cut a 12.4x . also theres no way the gt with "cobra" add ons noted is anywhere near a ls1 car. ls1 cars have cut high 12's stock.
I don't know man I'd rather choose the new Cobras.
2003 Cobra (stock)
HP: 390 @ 6000 RPM
TORQUE: 390 @ 3500 RPM
Base Price: $33,750.00
2002 S2000 (stock)
HP: 240 @ 8300 RPM
Torque: 153 @ 7500 RPM
Base Price: $32,860.00
My opinion I think a fully modded Cobra will blow a fully modded S2K!
(sorry Honda but this time Domestics are the only cars I know that will do wheelies)

you arnt gonna roll up on any cobra anytime soon. Dont under estemate those cars at all. the are quite capable in just about everyway. Now looks are another area, s2k for me please. But if you gotta go quick, better ride the horse
honestly, i dont know how this whole domestic/import hatred started. Yea..i love hondas, and i drive a honda but that was all i can afford... cuz it's cheaper on gas. But i'd LOVE to have a Chevelle or a GTO... i've always loved muscle cars for their strength and beauty. Many people i know who own hondas hate domestic car drivers because they are cocky about their cars... but seriously, we are all here for the love of automotive performance. We all love modifying cars, import or domestic.
So i say that you should buy urself a S2K for the love of it...and not becuz u want to "beat ur neighbour's cobra". (which is not a POS
) please dont say "i hate mustangs" cuz obviously u dont understand how beautiful restored cars are.
And no, i dont think that a 50 shot nitrous system is gonna let you beat that man's cobra (which must have many mods, if hes a president of a pony club).

IMO all domestic cars are butt ugly, but they got big motors!
kudos go to ford for at least attempting to keep up with the times.
GM seems to have a bit of Harley-itis... The newer small blocks are steps in the right direction...baby steps.
the various import styled cars are, on the average, designed better, last longer, look nicer and better on fuel consumption. don't get me wrong there are some really nice domestic cars out there and i like em, but i will never drive one. usually too much $$ and too much time on maintaining them.
i would much rather drive a Honda or even a Euro car and spend a few G's on turbo and put down 250-350 at the wheels on high boost then drive a V8 something or other that comsumes lots of fuel most of the time and needs to be babied to get along. domestic companies are making progress but very, very slowly. at least with the sport compact area for sure, but also in general.

C5 vettes for instance get better mileage than S2000's...).
if you drove extremely conservative in both cars, the s2k, should, in theory, get much better mileage.
60 off the bat.... 300 bhp, then you can go with forced induction... the only problem is swaping the internals. So, you can have a 300 bhp 8300 rpm or swap out the internals for the turbo... just be careful, i also heard that nos on s2k's is a risky deal. they dont hold up too well after a while... your best bet is to send the car to Spoon, let the mess with it and slap on a turbo... live up to its name...
S(poon)2000.

I also think that imports are designed better and some do look nicer but why does it cost too much money to maintain them? Every car needs maintenance no matter a honda or chevy.
Turbocharging a Honda or Euro car will put more stress on your engine and also decrease gas mileage, and yes it does need to be babied also. It will also void the warranty of the car.
If you buy an S2000 simply for the purpose of beating your neighbors Mustang, you are a fool.
Who cares if a V8 Mustang owner is picking on you...
Buy a car because you love the car, it brings you joy, etc.
Plus a modded Mustang is going to walk you all day.
