i knoe on the distributor style u would unplug the clip to prime the engine but on the s2000 with coil pack .. how would u
go about??

Why would you need to prime it?

You can get fuel pressure by turning the car to ON and not pressing Start...

 

Maybe he was referring to oil priming and doesn't want to flood the motor.

 

Unplug the injectors or EFI fuse.

 

Where is that fuse located on the S2?

I could probly open my car up and find out, but can someone help a brotha out?

You can unplug all injector clips. Or unplug the cam and crank sensors (if that's what they are). They're on the valve cover, IIRC. I remember unplugging 2 sensors to prime mine a while ago. I haven't looked at it or driven it for 3 months (depressing)...so I don't remember exactly which two. If I looked at it, I'm sure I'd know.

No. Trying to prime the oil pump (I think). It's useful when the engine has been rebuilt or has been sitting for a long time without being started up. It's beneficial to crank it without starting it so that the oil pressure builds at a low RPM.

 

So, then we are talking about a brand new motor or a rebuild where you need to prime first?

yeah just unplug the injector clips, doesnt matter if the plugs r are firing.

 

unplug the cam sensors on the valve cover, injectors wont open if the cant tell where the are.
