Default How loud is your valvetrain???

When your car is at idle or you are cruising under 3500 rpm can you hear any tap in your valvetrain. Everyone I talk to tells me "it is your injectors" or "hondas always sound like that" or "you are crazy...I cant hear anything". I took it to Honda and they said it sounded normal to them

Am I crazy?

valve lash adjustment usually quiets down almost all of the valvetrain noise. that is given there in nothing wrong with the vavletrain

I used to be able to hear the tranny. Exhaust fixed that problem.

correcto. i was just about to say this

timing chains are a lot louder than belts, but they have a less chance to snap on you.

Hondas do have loud valve trains. I remember my friend came home from the dealership after getting a valve adjustment (on a GSR) and it still sounded like it did before, maybe even louder.

Veryy NOISY. As with every other Honda I have owned or ridden in. Including some brand spanky new ones.
