Help engine make a noise
I have a 02 S2k. when its at regular runing temp, i turn the car on and off the car shakes like crazy the movement is coming from the engine but i dont know what causing the issue. i went to honda 8 times and the honda tech said he doesnt know where its coming from either WTF. it also does it when im in 1st gear and Rgear when letting off the clutch. Any body have any ideas on what it could be PLEASE HELP ......... also the car has never been hit or damage and also the engine mounts are good.

plugs - are they all firing correctly? have you checked out the plugs themselves? anything else, I would figure would be a vaccuum issue or perhaps, something with the block itself. I do know what you are referring to, but unfortunately do not have an idea.

If they don't know they should find out. I'd take it to a different tech.

i would think its a motor or tranny mount and the only way to really diagnose them is to remove one at a time and look at it. i doubt the honda tech did that
Check your battery terminals, mine shudders at low RPM, I re tightened the lugs and the problem dissapeared. Maybe an ECU reset at the same time and a little tightening of your accel cable to be sure.
Let me know if that helps

bumping to see if there is an update.
On mine, I just had the same issues this week. CEL on as well. was misfiring and the #4 plug had losened up. This was my third or fourth set of plugs in just under 70K miles. I had tried the iridiums at one time, but negligiable improvements. Well, the plug itself burned off the electrode and it was missing entirely. Being on three cylinders for a short while... you get the shakes and misfirings.
Get it checked out if you are not sure how to diagnose yourself.

thanks for your feed back mr. bagel, i just got my car back from honda and they replaced my idle control vavle or what ever the hell its called. but its still doing the same thing and they said its normal and one of the tech drove another s2000 on the lot and said it does the same thing then i drove it and it did the same thing but i counldnt feel it as much (just alittle) then we got back to my car and it was did they same thing warned up the car and at low idle it was worst than that other s2k so the tech says the only reason it doing that is because you have 45,000k and the other car has 23,000 so its like new almost. I THINK THATS BULL ****!!! and i top of that the techs back there are talking **** about me saying that im abusing and racing my car and there trying to void my warranty and i just got the car a 2 months ago.
ps. how can it tell if its misfiring will the plugs change colors? and when you change out your plugs did it fix your problem? Thanks again

The plug itself was destroyed. In other words, I was running on 3 cylinders. It was very noticable. This doesn't mean that it is the same issue you are having. Also, did a compression check and all is well on all cyl's. If the plugs haven't been changed, why not pull em and see if they need to be changed. Post pictures of them if you have any questions. Just remember - torque them to spec and use anti-seize compound. The compound should run you 3-4 bucks and the plugs 1.99-3.99 a piece depending on what you get. So if you do it yourself, we're talking sub-20 bucks. But if you do that, you should be able to tell from looking at the plug itself.
So i spoke to the sales manager and they said there going to get me into a 2005 S2K. going to the dealership tomorrow, i wonder wants going to happen they better not rip me off again.
PS my spark plugs are OK
