Default help...

ok.. i have a few question..

i want to get a cold-air intake.. i've been looking around and the most popular is AEM. i found one for $267 brand new.. this is the description: "Cold Air Intake, Red Powder Coated, Comes With Filter & Hardware, C.A.R.B. Exempt"

then i found this one.. its $295 brand new.. this is the descrition: "Cold Air Intake, V2 Series, Dual Chamber, With Filter, Titanium Look, Zirconia Based Powder Coated, Comes With Installation Instructions, Decal, And License Plate Frame."

What the hell is the differnece.. whats the "dual chamber"??

also.. i want to drop the car.. i found skunk2 new for $205.. it drops 2.5".. is that good?

i dont want to get ripped off... let me know..
ugh.. im so confused!

The pipe has a larger section in it (chamber) that will have a scavening effect and would theoretically produce more power. I dont really know how well it works but its supposed to sound even deeper than a normal cai.

AEM V2 is what I run, basically it makes more power than the V1. Also the prices you got are pretty high. Many sitess sell the V2 for 260 shipped or less. I got mine for 220 new.

In terms of lowering your car, i don't recommend skunk springs. the most common ones are prob espelir and tein. if you want links on where to get this stuff, just let me know

You should also look at the K&N FIPK...very nice setup, and no chance of hydrolock. I don't know who sells them off the top of my head though.

http://www.aempower.com/product_intake.asp Link to aem.

I am not to crazy of AEM because they have some issue with hydrolock on some application.

Have a nice day.

the hydolock issue can be dealt with easily. there is one hole you need to cover. then also when you drive in the rain, don't be an idiot going WOT. and also when you go through a puddle, get off the gas and coast through then get back. follow those rules and you will have no issue.

Mazda's and Nissan's don't come with engines and suspensions?

Get used to it. It is the internet.

And, those prices are way too much for the intakes. Like Nishant said, you can find them for much cheaper.

Maybe modding your car isn't such a good idea... the learning curve is steep and fixing broken stuff is expensive.
