I have the DC Header and it's an alright product. It shaved some weight and I didn't notice any power improvements, but I am sure that it gained 1 or 2. The best headers would be Amuse, Mugen, and Toda. Toda is latest, hottest header because it's new and it makes similar amounts of horsepower as the Mugen and Amuse. I would and probably will(if I stay NA, get a Mugen header because of one major factor, a heatshield. It reduces underhood temperatures by quite a bit. That could be very useful on track days.

I'd rather have the Toda it makes more power but it lacks the heatshield.

I asked the guy who posted the Hytech header on S2ki for dynos but they have not provided one yet.

I've never seen dynoplots or figures for the Amuse header. I've never seen anyone even have it yet people keep recommending it.

ok i know that saying one companys product on one car is the same as on another. but if you check out the ultimate header test for a lightly modified 1.8 d series you will see that DC does make a good header and makes decent numbers. now im not saying that this will be the same as on a S2k but you guys are bashing DC like its ****. and for 300 bucks it made more or the same down low as the other off the shelf headers (as in not custom peaces) now again i know this isn't on a S2k but damn guys **** off on the bashing unless you have some number's and a chart to back up the ****.

Since when is the DC header $300 for a S2000?

There are numbers and charters, please go to s2ki.com and look for them.

Right. But that proves your argument is way out of context.

The DC header really isn't all that for a S2000. What is your point/argument then? That it's good for a b-series motor? How is that relevant to this particular application?

just a lil update on the hytech system...the cost for the system will be about $1300 for the header and aout $1000-1200 for the cat back system...this isnt bad if the system proves to make the power....hopefully its lightweight as well...

Ok so after some research looks like the DC header is out of the question. And I am now looking at the Toda, Spoon and the new T1R header. What are the differences between these models? Will one make more power than the other or is that determined by the tuning?

wait...what happened to the mugen? It seems like the choices should be: Toda, Mugen, Spoon...i'm sure spoon is more for a N/A car tho, as they are more road race, and i'm sure mugen works for both...the toda, i've never heard anything about.

I've read a lot of good reviews about TODA to S2K, if I had a S2K, I'd Def. go TODA or Comptech

Has anyone heard anything from Hytech about a header for the s2k? Or do any of you guys know of any other serious headers, something like a stepped antireversion header or one with a 4-1 design? I see no point in wasting any money on a high dollar header that is not stepped.

Hytech usually makes quality stuff but no dynoplots available yet. I've been asking for them for awhile.

Toda's website has a dyno chart of the Toda vs the Mugen.

I personally am getting the Toda one. They are proven evne on the b-series as well, shows the same for the s2k, especially after the recent new lap record set at Tsukuba by the ASM s2k built with all Toda products.

I would never listen anything from the own manufacturer's website.

But other dynos have shown the Toda makes more hp.

haha, you are too skeptical. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't get the toda unless there was cost issues.

For the record: I'd get the Toda unless I found something better. What I'm saying is, if the manufacturer's website is the ONLY resource or dyno plot available, I would not trust it. $1300 or whatever they are priced is a lot of money. HP per dollar isn't that great, then again hp per dollar on mods for a s2000 aren't that great.

OT- Did you get yours yet Ardy?
