Okay guys, i contacted "TopLoc" the makers of the Hard Top Locks for the Miatas and with theft on the rise it really concered me that we can one day walk out and have our tops stolen...

This is his email to me:

"They wont work on an s2k but there has been a lot of interest from you guys. If you know anyone else that is interested, ask them email me so I can get a grasp on the demand. The Miata community loves them. After 1 year of sales only one complaint and no recorded break ins. Let me know

Take the time and email him if you can and are interested. For $100 its a great investment.
Hopefully you guys will see the importance as much as me and make the right call..

-EDIT: Mention this thread and how he said he wanted to see the s2k demand. NOTHING is in if for me, i dont know the guy. I just read the thread on a members top being stolen and a miata owner talked about them and i was curious if they would fit s2k's and that was his response. Just gotta make that clear before people start talking about how "he just wants to earn his parts" (like it has in the past)

Guess every hardtop owner doesn't care that much about their hardtop according to amount of posts in this thread. Was expecting more.

I am definitely interested .

 

its no biggie.. i got 250+ s2ki members to go for this and the company is now researching and prototyping the locks. They should be out sometime in the near future.

 

would any happen to know if the authentic Carbon Fiber MUGEN hardtop is made in plain 1x1 or twill 2x2 weave?!?!
