No, it doesn't. You can buy a hardtop, but it is still a convertable. If it was hard top, itd be concidered a coupe I believe anyway.
Difference in insurance cost between coupe and convertable is prolly pretty negligable, so Im assuming you're really stretching it to even concider buying an S2 anyhow.

There is an OEM hardtop available (you can even have it dealer-installed if you buy a new S) and a few aftermarket ones...but it won't affect your insurance if you get them

correct, even with hardtop...s2000 is still a convertible
