hah i didnt think i could either. But 95% of the time i drive the s2000 on the freeway, driving to work, going to the supermarket - it really sucks at those things. The 5% where i drive it like it should be driven (weekends and fun roads etc) it is awesome! But the 95% really wins over the 5% for me.
I'm hoping the bmw will bridge the gap between my 5% and 95% driving. Its a fabulous daily driver, gobs of power everywhere, yet still handles and drives awesome.
Here is a link to my s2000 for sale thread - but please lets keep that stuff in the other thread!

My girlfriend just gotta brand new 2007 BMW 328i same color as yours but different wheels. Its a good all around car, I love how it handles. Funny cause i'm in the looks of finding a 03' S2000 right now. Too bad you're in Sun Diego. Enjoy the car bro.
I kinda agree with P Nut, I usually don't buy first generation models since they tend to have the most recalls or what not. Thats why I waited 5 years before I got my S2000...I wanted to wait to see how the car turned out after being on the market for awhile. However, your car still looks sick as hell! I wouldn't mind driving one everyday.
Thanks guys - and yes i wish i could keep the s2000...i have been playing with selling the civic and trying to buy an older higher milage S2000 to replace that. Then i think i would have the best of both worlds.

Well i liked the idea of a "new" car. I got to pick the color and all the options and make it exactly what i wanted. The Sedan (E90) has been out for a year now which is almost the same as the coupe so im not to worried about it being a first generation car. And even if it does break bmw has an excellent warranty - they will even replace wear items like clutchs and brake pads - and they will give me a loaner car to drive around.
Also, while the m3 might be faster, it doesnt have the 335's torque, smoothness, quiet and super refined ride.

BMW's do have a good warranty service. Still, I'd hate to have it sitting in the shop. Also, you can find an E46 M3 with X,XXX miles that still has a huge chunk of warranty left.
While the 335's specs are very good and could be compared to the M3, but...well....it's still not an M. For me, it's like choosing between a DC2R and an RSX-S. The RSX's numbers are better, but....it's not an R. There is something to be said about how a car is put together. You can tell by driving cars like the ITR, M-series, etc. that much more R&D have been put into making sure every component of the car works and flows together.
BUT, since you said that this car will be your DD 95% of the time, you probably made a better choice. I'm sure the E90 has more amenities than the M3. Have fun spoolin.

Its likely that it was easier to get financing or a lease on a new BMW vs. a used M3. I doubt he's paying $40k cash for that E92.
grab your credit card and buy these too:

Holy crap, I love it man. This car with some light motor mods ie:chip and exhaust, and some suspension mods would be an absolute blast to drive. I wish I had that kind of money to spend b/c that's a great car.
