Believe me the F20C won't swap into any of the FWD Hondas, unless you can find a way to make a longitudinal 4 cylinder into a horizontal one.
I agree with you on this one. The S2000 may not have the torque of, let's say, a NSX or any other six cylinder engines, but when compared to engine of the same class it'll do just fine. Honda engineers intende the s2k with a modest size engine to create that neutral balance for optimal cornering and weight transfer. Nothing wrong with that, IMO.
As for the car, hopefully it hangs for a while longer in current trim. And if you guys/gals think it needs tq go and get a SC for it and poof mad tq and mad hp. and min weight increase...
As far as I'm concerned, the car, and it's engine are perfect just like they are. Besides, most of the guys whining about the torque don't even own an S2000, so, why should it bother you anyway? If the "lack of torque" bothers anyone that much, just slap on a Comptech supercharger and stop whining.
Also, the engine being a 4cylinder IS what makes the car. Show me one other naturally aspirated 4cylinder production car that makes 240hp/153ft-lbs trq.

they should do a modest twin turbo setup and lower the compression of the existing motor, as well as putting in some cams with less overlap. Torque problem solved.

Didn't I just say that???? or am I losing my mind?
imo, if honda put a straight 6 in the car that did 280hp/200tq you guys would still find something to bitch about.
honda built the car for a purpose. if that doesn't suit you, don't buy it. better yet, don't bitch about it.

I couldn't agree more.

make it faster, but I think it's one hell of a platform to start, at a steal of a price.

You Honda!
