Default Forced induction...

If I go forced induction what can the stock block and head handle safely? Suggestions on supercharger or turbo? I do plan on doing internals on a seperate motor over time. Also i am going to upgrade fuel pump and injectors, what else should i do? I am new to this forum so if i posted this in wrong place, my bad.

People have made 700 on stock engine; I wouldnt call that safe though. A lot of people make 400-500 and dont really run into problems. What are you going for? Do you want more low end power? Then supercharge it but superchargers are leaches so for me I like turbo. You also have more control of the PSI without switching pulleys. Trans and rear end will get expensive. A new solution is coming out soon but right now your only option is the 160V with the adapter plate and special clutch, this will run about 8,000 dollars. The rear end options are about 4,000 dollars. Do you already own a S2000 and if so what year is it? Look into engine management systems.

No one really builds s2000 engines as the stock engine is capable of tanking 700+whp without a problem. It's the diff and transmission that needs to be upgraded and they are the week point.

I have a built engine. I really wouldnt say no one builds the engines. Go on another forum and you'll see them all over.

For 400hp the stock bottom end with a solid tune would be safe. Just don't cheap out in important parts. And really, as long as you get a solid clutch and don't drive like a fool your diff should hold. Just my 2 cents.
