^^^Can't agree more. Don't feel the need to mod this car. You didn't mention what you were coming from, so there might be a bit of adjusting to RWD and the gearbox, not to mention a pretty light flywheel. Have fun.
Enjoy it for what it is for awhile. Once you feel like you want some more, then come back and ask us. You won't get much performance out of $500 with this car.
As for your turbo question, check here: http://forums.s2000turbo.com/index.htm

I cant agree any more with what the above statements say. Learn to drive your car first, I asked the same question couple months ago when I got my 2006. Just learn how to drive it and all, and when you want to mod it will be expencive, because its a s2000. Not like theres more things out there for it like civics and such.

there's alot of S2k guys selling the stiffer sway bar after a while, when they put the stocker back, in some case the owner reported a more neutral handling was achieved.
the oo-o1 s is running the thickest oem bar just for you information.
try ride with someone with older ap1 to see if you like the stiffer setting(less forgiving to some, more fun if you ask me
)
500 bucks? two day track day, track pad, dot4 fluid and seat time with instructor.
stuffs you can buy doesn't always make the car faster, a skill learned will follow you for the rest of your life.
oh yeah, the best thing you could do now is let the motor/tran/diff breaks in properly.

i agree if we would be talkin about the rear sway bar.. the rear is already stiff enough. adding a stiffer front sway bar reduces oversteer.

Yeah this is what im learning also. Rear sway bar isnt always a good mod to do.

I'd recommend increasing tire width in the rear over running a larger front sway bar. Thicker sway bar increases slip. If sway bars must be changed, I would put a smaller rear sway bar before increasing the size of the front. Then again, if I was running very high spring rates with properly valved shocks, I would ditch the sway bars all together.
