first mod to a s2k
It is a lower suspension brace that stiffens the control arm mounts. I have a Spoon brace on mine and can be found here. http://www.spoon-sports.com/
I've got the Spoon x-brace and honestly can't tell it's there, except under exceptional circumstances (potholes in corners).
I agree with the earlier comment that the best "mod" you can do is to spend your money on driving instruction.
Also, you should drive the car for a year or so to figure out what you don't like about it before you start changing things up front. I've done a lot, but every mod was carefully considered beforehand.
Speedcraft Turbo, Profec-B Boost Controller, Vortech FPR, GReddy EGT and Boost Warning Gauges, A'PEXi V-AFC, Clutchmaster Stage 3 Clutch, Toda Lightweight Flywheel, Mugen Radiator Cap, Mugen Thermostat, Mugen Fan Switch, Coastal Metals Brake Duct Airflow System, 3" Stainless Exhaust w/A'PEXi N1s, WorkMeister RS2 18" Wheels, Spoon X-Brace, Lucid's Front and Rear Speakers, Muz Shift ****, JDM Clear Side Markers

I'm a roadcourse guy, so I don't have any timeslips to share. But others running my setup have done 117mph in 12.6 seconds. I suspect you can get away with that a few times before replacing your rear axels, LSD, and the rest of the drivetrain.
Tell me how to post an image, and I'll drop a few photos into the thread.

Just curious, if you are an AutoX /road course fan, why did you choose the turbo route instead of supercharged....the comptech supercharger is centrifugal, but it still spools quicker than a turbo. Also, friend of mine has an s2000 with comptech CAI, and is about to get headers.. from my research ive found that mugen are slightly better than spoon--if anyone has any dyno # or charts to prove good gains, or knows resources where to find i'd appricate. thanks,\\\

click reply, and in the below, you'll see BOLD ITALICS UNDERLINE URL IMAGE.
click on "Image" and type in the url the name. also if you need someone to host them, you can always email. misternapps@hotmail.com
always love to see new setups! gotta wait 2 yrs then s2k's all mine :DAlso, i've driven the s2000 w & w/o the comptech, and i can hear the vtec a little louder, and especially the intake noise more. Slight power gains, yet still noticable. Not sure if i would buy the comptech for my car if money was an issue tho. ( which it is , ha
)
Misternapps,
If you look at dyno charts, you'll see that the superchargers are producing less power than my turbo at ALL rpm's and only reaches roughly the same peak HP at about 8500 rpm. It's really a matter of increasing mid-range torque, which the turbo does quite well. The superchargers increase the slope of the hp versus rpm line, which is good but not what I was looking for.
I'm happy with the kit, although it's not cheap and it's taken me 8 months to work all the bugs out. Partial throttle fuel tuning's been the biggest problem.
I'll try to post some photos, but no promises. S2Ki.com has a libary. Maybe I can post them from there.

My $.02. Best upgrade.. replace the left side mirror with a convex one. Try driving with the top up in traffic. Many times I've felt like Ace Ventura with my head out the window making sure that I'm not driving into a grandma in her 79 Nova. S2k's got plenty of power and the handling is great. M
I have the X brace and find that for the money, it is a very effctive nad affordable Spoon product. I am looking forward to buying every Spoon upgrade i can get my hands on. I think the front brakes are next. maybe Santa will hook me up.
your stock shocks aren't designed to handle aftermarket spring rates(much stiffer than stock) and that will cause them to wear out faster, causing your ride to be sloppy and bouncy. go with koni yellow shocks if they make them for the AP1.
my car:
1. Spoon braces (X-brace, STB, rear lower)
2. Amuse lip
3. Volk Wheels
4. Zeal B6
5. soon to be: turbo'ed.
6. soon to be: J's final gear (4.44)
Also other misc mods like spoon tank covers, clear headlight, clear sides...etc.
I think a S2000 looks real nice when it's lowered (NOT SLAMMED) with a set
of nice coilover (TEIN, Zeal, Buddy Club...), a set of nice wheels (ie, Volks), and
a front lip (OEM, Amuse, J's)

Well, It was $350.00 from MBAutosports. But that was a couple of years ago. I do not know if Min had sold anymore than the two when myself and another guy with a black S2000 in Florida were his first tonneau customers. So, I have yet to come across another S2000 with this piece in my car meets with the local clubs in the area.
