first mod to a s2k
Whats the first mod you put on your s2k? my friend just bought one and wants to know what kind of mods there are. (how to add to perfection) He plans on adding some kind of suppercharger later on. looking for performance mods not cosmetic. thanks
tell him to send his *** to driving school. All the motor work in the world dont mean **** if you cant drive it. And I know he cant drive it because he wants to add a supercharger.

If you want performance the last thing you should do to the car is lower it.
Go to the local track and enroll in an instructed track event. If you want to spend money on the car, that's the first place to do it. We've seen guys blow $15,000 modding their S2000 only to get passed every other lap by a stock S2000 piloted by somebody with some real experience behind the wheel.

yea exactly.... the stock parts on an S2k should be left alone, if you want maximum performance.... like the intake, already a CAI (but you can buy a more breathe-friendly filter)... the headers? eeh i'm leaving the stock one in.... only thing i cant think of that would really made a difference (other than a SC) is cam gears, and a re-programmed ECU... (but dont **** with the ECU unless you know someone that has experience programming them)... i dont think lowering the car would hurt performance, but it all depends on how you'll be driving the car, and what kind of suspension you buy... (plan on spending plenty of money to buy the right springs, shocks, etc, if you're going to **** with the suspension...)
do you like the way the car fells when its droped. what i mean to say is it all bouncy. does it elemanate the body role or does it make a bumpy ride. What kind of springs do you have and what do you recomend?
An S2000 with springs does not handle any better than a stock S2000. It will just make you wear your shocks out quicker. If you're gonna get springs you have to have shocks/struts in your future plans as well....or else just go with coil overs. I think the best mod for the S2K is J's Racing 4.44 or 4.77 final drive.
it really depends on cash flow of the person modding. I had an extra $5k lying around when I bought mine so on went the H&R coilovers and volk wheels.
A few Spoon mods and I was all out of cashola. I like how the car looks, drives, rides and drops panties.

I kept hearing this noise every time I drove around. i didnt know what it was. i never heard it in the civic. It was the noise of wet panties hitting the ground. huh, go figure. :rofl.
