Default F22 engine builders please help

i pulled off the pan on my motor today to fix an oil leak and saw that the crank is wearing the back of the block. i looks like maybe the thrust washers arent doing their job or something... the motor is an 06 with like 3k miles, i do oil changes every 2 races and the car never sees the street so like 100 miles tops between oil changes. im thinking that maybe because i use this car for drifting that maybe im getting crank walk or something from kicking the clutch so much. any input is apreciated. the wear is not really excessive considering its steel vs. alluminum but im guessing it only hits when the clutch is engaged.

This would be my guess as well, but I haven't seen this problem come up with the F22 yet. Not even in the boosted applications. I'd check to see if it worsened the crankshaft endplay or the seating of the bearings. The motor was stock I assume?

did you crack the oil pan requiring the removal and installation of a new pan? How bad were the metal shavings in the pan?

no the oil leak was from when i pulled off the front cover without removing the pan, after i put it back on it had a small leak. when i pulled the pan off there were no signs of metal in the oil.

interesting....

you should check on the thrust washer.. i'm thinking it's worn out, due to excessive high launch.

it gouge the block or just scratch?

thats def from drifting for sure... or possible from oil starvation... oil had thin out from heavy driving and just drip through like water... you might wanna use thicker oil..
