exaust
What type of exaust should i get for my new s2k im going for all out porformance im thinking of getting the spoon exaust as of the moment but wanted to make sure if this is the best decision
dude, you're wrong. if you go single...it helps a lot (it'll give you some hp, but probably less than 5).
i went with the j's racing n1, but the spoon n1 is a good choice too.

i ran across some s2000 site once and it had everything... i think it was like a so cal s2k club. dont have the address, though... sorry. try searching for it if you really care.
basically, mugen is quieter than spoon... although both use an N1 type of muffler, Mugen's system weights like 28 lbs less than stock due to its two Titanium Mufflers. Needless to say, it comes at a high price.
Full Mugen Cat-back Exhaust ~ $1500 @ http://www.kingmotorsports.com
Spoon Muffler Rear Section ~ $900 @ http://www.inlinefour.com
These places dont have the best prices cuz they are "authorized distributors and have an agreement to sell it at a certain price" but i just got the prices to give you an idea. You want cheaper, try Comptech, DC Sports, GReddy, etc.

Exhausts are more for sound on the S2000. The real performance gains are in the weight savings. The stock exhaust tips the scales at 52lbs. Performance wise I truely doubt you will ever see any gains with an aftermarket exhaust with out serious modifications to the car: Cams or Force Induction. The stock exhaust is properly matched to the performance of the engine, and there isn't any real restriction there. The exhausts that will save significant weight will probably make your ears bleed they are so loud.
Single Exit
Amuse 8lbs ~$2400 full titanium ~120db
Veilside 7lbs ~$750 full titanium ~124db
Spoon 12lbs ~$700 mild steel ~112db
Dual Exit
Mugen ~28lbs ~$1500 partial titanium ~94db
Unless you want to "get a different sound" or are stripping the car to save weight, exhaust modifications are next to worthless on the S2000. The big exception are heavily modified iterations including forced induction.
Exhaust = Bling-Bling.
