Glad I found his site. I have a year 2000 Honda S2000. Need to replace the engine and got a good deal on a year 2004 engine. I know that the 2004 engine is different than the 2000-2003 engines.

Will the year 2000 car accept a year 2004 engine? Any special modifications needed like a new ECU? Any information and experiences would be appreciated. I'm hoping for a painless swap out.

Sure, it'll accept anything. if i had the money id find a way to swap a 350 small block in mine, and then twin turbo it maybe.
