i thought the ebay ones were only fiberglass, where are you running the induction hose through the hole in the fender.

nah dude serch they got a whole bunch of them theres plastic, fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc. they also got spoon and j's replicas so be carefull on which one you want/get cause the j's is a lil bigger and the hood wont clear it. Buy the induction hose i ment the one that goes from the box to the throttle body the oem is all ribbed the samco is smother and hopefully more free flowing.

If you look at the top manufacturers for our cars most of the intakes have some sort of a scoop/ram air design for example mugen j's gruppe m... I just want to change it up, first off im sick of the filter on the stick look and second i think this scoop will work better then my current first gen K&N. Dont get me wrong though the filter on a stick did wonders for me in my non vtec bseries teg my butt dyno felt the best amount of power coming from a 3inich short ram than it did from any cold air aem v2 included plus i never ran the risk of hydrolocking the motor. But on my S i feel like if your using a conventional filter on a stick intake short ram or cold air all ur basicly doing is relocating the filter to a colder spot so u c some sort of a gain on the dyno, the speed of the car has no effect on the numbers. anyways im not trying to bash the conventinal cold air intake just stating my opinion on how i think the snorkle would work better for me. I guess ill find out by the end of this month and ill update this thread telling u wether i liked it more than my k&N.
