Default dropping a s2k

Hey guys, well i solved my insurance dilemma now i can finally concentrate on the car.

My first move is to drop the car so I wanted to know what u guys recommend, what brand springs and how much should i drop it,, im planning on getting a front lip so I have to put that into consideration.

Thx, Nick.

How much should you drop it?
Who cares, get coilovers, set the height about where YOU want it, and corner weigh that bitch.

As for coilovers, the KW Variant 3's are probably the best at a still reasonable price. If you can't afford the 3's get the 2's which are very nice as well.

If you got money then Aragostas are supposed to be the ****.

Tein's are ok but way overhyped, and should really be cheaper, but anything cheaper is really not going to give a quality ride that the S2k deserves.

But don't listen to me all I care about is performance

I don't see how your post helped him at all.
He wants springs, not coilovers.
$250 is a big difference than $1000 for a decent set of coilovers.

All he wants is a drop.. so why would coilovers be of use for him?

I suggest RSR springs.

Take care to a cliff.

Push car off cliff.

Things You Need:

S2K
Measuring Tape

What You Do:

Drive your car to a few places of concern that you REGULARLY drive and cannot avoid. (speedbumps, driveways, etc)

Drive at them head on.
Measure Clearence.
Drive at them at an angle.
Measure Clearence.

This should give you an IDEA of how much you can drop it without ripping off your lip.

Im a freakin genius eh? =P

I looove my skunk2s. They just keep impressing me. And they were only $150.

Whatever you choose to do......GET AN ALGINMENT after doing it. I'm running stock toe, and -2.6 front and -2.9 rear camber. love it. Real fast at the track.

from what i hear espalier is like the only springs that give you an equal drop with good ride quality.

I was going to do a similar writeup... what gives you about a 3/4"-1" drop... im not looking for some insane ground scraping drop, i just want some of the wheel gap eliminated...

I was looking at the Swift Springs shown here:

or the eibach kit:

negative, first you slam your car all the way to the ground on coilovers, then you drive and driving becomes an obstacle course and bumps are your enemey's
