Default DAILY DRIVEN

I'm thinking about getting a s2k soon... hopefully. but then like many other people my age that'll be the ONLY CAR imma be able to drive. I don't want to end up paying alot of money and have to pay off a carfor years to come if i'm going to dread driving it daily. I know hondas usually are easy to drive and ive heard many good things about the NSX... But many other people that have the s2k have told me its a good car. but not a very comfortabel daily driven car. I'll appreciate if u guys give me some feedback. thanks alot guys

if you can id swing the used NSX instead. Most S2Ks i see are driven by yuppies like the Z3. With a few exceptions of course.

Not saying Yuppies arnet driving NSXs, but the S2K fits that "cute, expensice looking 2 seater convert" they all want better than the NSX

But if you cant swing it, I could see myself driving my bosses S2K all year if di lived where it didnt snow. I fit in it nicly

First of all get a job to pay for the car..then get one..but I guess some kids have it lucky and are sponsored by Mom and Dad.... as for mine, I don't drive it everyday, just on the weekends when it is sunny outside...and i just drive my daily car which is my hybrid civic...you could try that route also...

Speedy-I hope you have winter tires on it at least. I drove an S2K on the lot at work and it was hard to keep straight.

I just paid $1700 and bought a 4x4 to get me through the snow. It was worth it cuz my insurance went down $400/6months. Not only that but it'll save miles on the S2000, plus it can sit in the garage and not get tortured by the cinders and **** that they put on the roads. I tried driving my S2000 in the snow last year and it was scary ****. The S02's are specifically designed for dry performance and are horrible in cold weather let alone snow. The S2000 can be driven in the winter but I'd get snow tires like Blizzaks or something.

Driving a beater car for a couple months will only make me appreciate the S2000 more when spring hits! Winter SUCKS!

no snow tires. original S02s with lots of track and autox abuse. traction is overrated. (1) get very comfortable with the car, (2) don't drive like an *** in bad weather, (3) learn to love oversteer. no problemo. *knock on wood*

i drive mine everyday - i got it when i was 16 (now i'm 17). i have no problem with driving it everyday, other than driving through rush-hour traffic. after all things considered, i wouldn't trade it for anything else...i love my S2000.

oh yeah, i did get sponsors - mom and dad - i paid 80% of it off, and they said the didn't want the other 20%, so now i spend all my money on modifications for my car.

I think you should get yourself an S2000 instead. The lower maintenance cost of the car alone when compared to the NSX is worth the subjective notion like comfort....you can always learn to get used to it like I have for the last 5 mos. It's not THAT uncomfortable...(by the way how tall R U?) Just remember NOT to take it out on long trips and extremely bad road conditions....unless you've mastered oversteer-induced drifting around street corners for the latter part I've just mentioned...

BTW you've made a wise choice to either opt for an NSX or an S2000....It shows that you have exceptional tastes....(hehehe here I go again patting myself on my own back..) The community of Honda owners here at this forum are proud of and welcome you to our family...

I drive my S2000 every single day,it's a wicked blast.

Too bad the weather in Texas, where I am right now,is bloody awful, rains more here than it did in England.
