Default Daily 03 AP1?

I currently drive a 00 civic ex and im in the market for an s2000. More specifically an 03 AP1. Now in order for me to do this i must sell the civic, i cannot afford two cars. Is an s2k practical for the daily grind? I see a lot who keep it in the garage and use another car to commute from/to work, school, etc. Any info is appreciated, thanks

student? may not be. no cargo room and plus you should worry about paying off what you have first and put the rest of the funds for food, school expenses etc. car payments are a bitch when you have other things to worry about. my 2 cents.

i agree w/ the second half

there really isn't that much storage you need when you're a student...backpack and maybe some extra room for books, beer, and clothes if you're staying over night somewhere

I live at home with only a cell phone bill, and my gas. I paid the civic off last year while i was in high school, and yes payments suck *****. I am a college student with a part time job. I think you guys are right and shouldn't go into car payments all over again. I just want an s2k so damn bad

I will be going to school as well, but i get 900$ a month for nothing and i get a 20k$ bonus to buy the s2k.

contact insurance agencies and get quotes

everyone is different based on age, sex, driving record, etc

I've owned a "beater" for 5 or the 6 1/2 years I owned my S2K. The "beater" has saved me a ton of money in terms of wear and tear on the S2k. Daily driving it is no problem, but for me another car to get around in an run errands in is the way to go. This is if you can afford it.

And "wear and tear" should be bolded in your case, since you are in school. I don't know how many door dings and bumper rashes my Integra got in the college parking lots.

Keep your Civic and wait till you can afford both.

DD'ing an s2k is easy.. as far as the ride quality and noise.

To me it is the space problem that really bugs.

dd the s isn't 2 bad. i just traided inmy civic for it 2 months ago. if u take long road trips often i wouldn't recomend it. but if your not on the express way doing 65+ its not 2 bad. not having a glove box sucks but other than thouse 2 things for the DD i have no other complaints. and the gas milage isn't that much worse than my Si was. but u'll make up for the worst gasmilage by riding with your friends instead of your friends riding with you. in the who's car are we taking convo u will never get looked at!

i just ran it through google translate to translate it into English:

perfect.

I would say, don't do it. The s2000 is a horrible commuter car. It's loud inside, even with the stock exhaust. It has high cruising RPM's. It's cramped inside. The factory stereo sucks. The seats are barely adjustable. The steering column isn't adjustable. Outward visibility is below average. Gas mileage isn't great. You have to throw all your **** in the trunk (backpack, jacket, etc).

Now, if driving in traffic with all of the above nuances sounds like a bag of fun to you, then by all means, go for it!

I drive mine daily. My commute is only 20 miles one way, all highway, and never any snow. I'm usually on the highway, so I get to work and back home in about 20-30 mins. If i had to sit in it for more than an hour it would probably suck.
