Default Comptech intake, ?'s

I really like this intake and have done searches on here and s2ki and wanted to know if anyone has solved the rattling problem with this intake or is it pretty much something you got to live with.

I like the k&n as well but it doesn't quite have the fit and finish of the comptech and power wise i'd say they're about the same.

its not so much a rattle as it is a vibration caused at certain rpms. mine would cause the entire upper windshield to vibrate like crazy. it had to go.

you might want to get a new car then, cause you'll start to hear some rattles and noises from your soft top... lol..

I am cuurently running the Comptech intake on my S2000. With all the other noises that the S2000 makes.....honestly, you don't even notice it.

you'll get them sooner or later... i'm only at like ehhh 18k miles in 2 years.. and i have noises coming from everywhere on my soft top... even after tightening it, you'll hear it... but then again i've been slammed for like 15k miles and i'm running the dampers rather stiff.... so i feel every bump in the road as it is...

Hehehehe suckers!!!

The only vibration I get is the 4-6k powerband where the exhaust is loud, and kinda rattles the chassis. I have no sound deadening or carpet of any sort, so it might be more noticeable. Other than that, car is solid.

Soft top and drivetrain are your noisemakers.

Most of the A/C lines have rubber jackets on them, they should be fine. They are also bolted into the chassis at certain points. Localize the rattling and remedy as needed.
