I'm in the market for a S2000. Mainly looking at AP2's. I'm looking at slightly used cars just to save myself the huge depreciation in the first couple years of ownership. But if I don't find one I like, I'll probably buy a brand new one.

I was wondering if you fellow S2000 owners can tell me if there's any common problems or any little things that I should look for when I'm out there car shopping?

I'm mechanically inclined. I know how to inspect cars, mechanically and cosmetically, I just want to make sure there isn't any little thing that I may over look because I get over excited looking at a car

so yea theres a search button on ur upper right use it. this topic has been covered a million and a half times. search tsb's

 

I have a common problem of not being able to stay out of VTEC for more than a few hours. This adversely affects fuel economy.

Other than that you should be good. Amen to what Blackness said.

 

you wanna stay in Vtec for better MPG? right?

 

the most common problem:

young teenager with mommy's money buying a s2k after graduation from high school(not saying you are but ask around/search around), end result?

eating curb left and right, spun out and wrap it around pole.

you'll be surprise how many people crash this thing within the first month or two of ownership

you'd also be surprised how often I feel like I'm going to crash even after 1.5 years of ownership
