Common S2000 Problems/Issues
Hey, my name is Brian. I live in the metro Atlanta area. I have recently sold my 96 Integra LS to my younger sister who will more than likely destroy it/rice it out. I am currently looking in the used S2000 direction. Before I get one, I would like to do a little research and know what is to be expected when I do get it. I browsed around this forum and did a search (on honda-tech and on google), but could not find all of the information I needed.
What are some common problems or things that I would need to keep my eye out for when looking to buy a used S2000? Maybe I am using the wrong keywords when searching and someone can just point me in the right direction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

problems ive seen...
most of the problems are addressed by honda under TSB's. if you buy a car brand new, and complain to ur dealership, they will fix it for you. i, however, bough a car used and the orig owner didnt do this, so now i have fixed them all myself.
so yea, all the problems i ran into are all covered under TSB's, so browse thru them.

No, currently I do not. I have looked around and found some 00 and 01's with about 60k on them for a reasonable price. However, if I can swing it, I would definitely like to get a newer one with less miles. I am still about a month off from actually purchasing the car as I have just started a new job and would like to get a good feel for how everything is going to pan out financially before I jump right in.
ya know - the biggest problem i find is that everyone wants to sell their USED parts @ TOP DOLLA! wtf?!!
i still dont understand how some used rims can still be ( asking price) 2k? is it just me?

yeah, there is a small percentage, but are common. i've come across numerous s2k's that have had this. most of them making the sound at start up. my old 03 had it also.
