More prone to hydrolock....but even if you spend $2xx from the cost of your turbo setup...how far does that really put you back? If anything, you can make a suction pipe later.

My AEM V2 was like $260ish shipped. It looks ugly, but sounds really nice. Plus, it makes it easier to do oil changes, belts, etc. Plus, AEM was claiming 9whp. I have no clue if that's true. I did win a 2 races with an otherwise stock S2000.

I don't really drag race often and I didn't wanna launch the car, plus it was 90 degrees out and some other excuses that I have. I ran a 14.0 with a 2.2 60'. Not so bad. I'm sure the car can go mid/high 13s.

Plus, the performance is very consistent even on really hot days when I'm road racing. I do between 20 min and 1hr sessions.

dude, my advice to you is to just leave the s2000 forum...especially before kyle gets on..and just for the record there slick, stock s2000's run a faster time in the quarter than a stock mustang GT does, so before you go talking some **** you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, do some research...And for the record a stock AP1 has gone 13.8 in the quarter

13.6, actually. I'm sure I could have done 13.8 stock on like a 60 degree day or something. err...if I wanted to launch it lol.

The cobra I raced last week must not of been one of those fast mustangs you are talking about. When I was stock I raced a stock 04 GT and beat it. mustangs run 13-14s.

Depending on the driver, weather and launch, a s2000 can be in the high 13's stock. A mustang can also be as close as the s2000 in the 1/4 mile. Just becuase you have V8 stuck in your head, doesn't mean the GT is faster than the 4 cyl. s2000. Consider the weight as well OP. Back to topic.

lol mustangs are as fast as or faster than S2000s stock to stock? In what contest of speed? 0-60? no. 1/4 mile? no. 60-0? no. lap times? HAHHAHA no. Maybe the newer mustangs or the factory souped up ones are faster than S2000s somewhere...

I guess the mustang is faster if you're racing to see who can bring 4 people to the grocery store faster??

I haven't personally done it....I said 13.6 because that's the fastest recorded time for a stock S2000, IIRC. I'm not enough of a drag racer extraordinaire.

But I did run high 1:3xx laps at gingerman on street tires with an intake as the only power mod.

If by way faster you mean...like high 13's / low 14's...then yes by all means the new mustang gts are "way faster"

And it's not really cool to start calling people liars...

I'm pretty sure that 13.6 is on an ap2 though, but I have heard of people hitting 13's in stock ap1s

When did I lie? I said I went 14.0 with a 2.2 60' due to barely launching it. I'm sure I could have done high 13s.
